Conveniently located on the Southern part of the Ring road, this large hostel offers easy self check-in and check-out, along with a spacious car park. The facilities, including a shared kitchen and laundry room, are well-equipped. While the area may have limited options, this hostel provides all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.

The hostel had spotlessly clean rooms and common areas, which was perfect for a light sleeper like me. The large dining area and separate kitchens made it easy to prepare meals. The isolated location allowed us to see the Northern Lights.

The kitchens were well-equipped and clean, making it easy for us to cook our meals. The dining room had plenty of space and we enjoyed playing the free board games and puzzles. The showers and toilets were cleaned daily and always tidy. Our room was comfortable and the heating worked well. The owner, Filippus, was helpful and kept us informed about road conditions. we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place.

I had a great stay at a guesthouse near Kirkjubaejarklaustur. The kitchen was huge and had everything I needed. The rooms were clean and conveniently located near the bathrooms. Despite the hostel being full, we all managed to use the kitchen without any issues. The Wi-Fi worked well in the common area. I recommend this place for a one-night stopover.

During my Christmas stay at this hostel, I loved the friendly and helpful staff who greeted us warmly and provided valuable information about the Northern Lights. The facilities were excellent, especially the three separate kitchens that allowed multiple people to cook at the same time. Additionally, the shared bathrooms were kept clean and well-maintained, catering to the number of guests during our stay.

One drawback I experienced during my Christmas stay was the noise disturbance caused by some inconsiderate guests. The thin walls made it difficult to sleep when others were being disruptive.
